Wood Brothers Racing brought back the 1971 Mercury paint scheme on the #21 Ford Fusion driven by Bill Elliott in the Dodge Challenger 500 at Darlington Raceway on May 10th. The candy apple red and white COT with gold numbers commemorates Wood Brothers Racing history. David Pearson drove the #21 to five wins and eight pole positions at Darlington Raceway.

Showcasing its commitment to Petty Enterprises, the makers of STP products announced today a return to the hood of the legendary #43 car being driven by former Cup champion, Bobby Labonte. The familiar red, white and blue STP logo will highlight a retro paint scheme designed to pay tribute to one of the longest running sponsorships in the history of stockcar racing and to launch the new STP Oil Stabilizer. STP will be the primary hood sponsor of Labonte's #43 Dodge for the Aaron's 499 at the Talladega Superspeedway on April 30 and the Chevy 400 at the Richmond International Raceway on September 9.

Action '09 "Aarons" Lowes Coca Cola 600 Winner Raced Version
David Reutimann was the big winner in NASCAR's losing battle against Mother Nature in Monday's rain shortened Coca-Cola 600 Sprint Cup race at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Nearly 25 hours after the 50th edition of the race was supposed to start, and with menacing storm cells dotting the radar, NASCAR called the event after 227 of a scheduled 400 laps. That made a first time winner of Reutimann, who parlayed a strategic call by crew chief Rodney Childers into victory.
